~Release stress while promoting healing of body/mind - Rediscover your natural state of balance~

If you would like to experience profound relaxation, Yoga Nidra is for you. This practice calms not only the physical body but the nervous system and subconscious mind. An hour of Yoga Nidra is said to be the equivalent of four hours of sleep in terms of its restorative effects. In this workshop, we will use a series of gentle, body-sensing yoga postures, guided breathing, and meditation to assist in preparing the body to be restful and still. Yoga Nidra is done in a reclining position but accommodations can be made to offer a more supportive posture if necessary. To insure the greatest degree of attention for yourself, refrain from eating for at least 2 hours before the workshop begins. Wear loose, comfortable clothing; bring layers as the body does cool during Yoga Nidra. Under stress, our behavior and health are influenced. When we relax, our bodies regulate themselves - direction, true knowledge and clarity come when you are free of tension. Students, teachers, and absolute beginners are invited to enjoy this transformative healing practice.

In 1986, Evelyn Zak, E-RYT & RYT 500, began her yoga studies at the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health.
