Allisen Learnard

Allisen was introduced to yoga in 2006 while completing her B.F.A in dance. After falling out of trikonasana several times, she decided that it wasn’t for her! Thankfully she returned to her mat not long after and soon fell in love with the relaxed, in-tune feeling she gained after each class. As she deepened her practice throughout the years, Allisen found yoga to be a potent tool for emotional healing and awakening of her authentic Self.

In 2021, after 15 years of teaching and performing dance, Allisen decided to shift gears and bring her yoga practice to others by achieving a 200 hour yoga teacher training certificate. Her studies at SOMA Yoga institute in California helped her to see the therapeutic approach to teaching. She focuses on proper alignment, breath-body connection and graceful vinyasas. She especially loves giving her students that sense of deep embodied awareness and empowerment, to feel more strength and ease not just during the practice, but throughout the rest of their day. Allisen has spent her professional teaching career focused on community, compassion and creativity. She is an experienced teacher of all ages and ability levels, from 2 to 80 years young. And she is pleased for the opportunity to expand her impact into the yoga community.
