Yoga Source
MUSINGS FROM THE MAT
Updated: Jun 1, 2019
We are struck by the diverse community of people who
walk through our doors every day. Each of you have your
own stories of love, heartache, joy, fear, and most of all
courage. There is the kind of courage to venture willingly into
new territory, as well as the kind of bravery to face the
challenges of life that are unpredictable and often

One of my favorite quotes from “When Things Fall Apart” by Pema Chodron:
“The next time you encounter fear, consider yourself lucky. This is where the courage comes in. Usually we think that brave people have no fear. The truth is that they are intimate with fear.”
We don’t know when the challenging times will arise in life. These challenges often stem from the fact that we have bodies which experience pleasure and pain, that we love and care for others, and that we dare to wonder how the world could be different from what we know now.
We want to be brave - especially in moments that require boldness. When we feel strong and centered, we are less likely to fly into a panic over surmountable challenges; we are more likely to feel capable even when our world turns upside-down.
We know that it’s important to build strength in the good times, and to restore and be nourished during the challenging times. It’s always important to find time for quiet, for reflection, and for centering.
We hope that Yoga Source continues to be a place where you come to build strength, restore, find deep internal nourishment, study the effects of great alignment, breathe a little easier, and feel at peace with your life. Please know that we are grateful for you. If it wasn't for your commitment to your practice, Yoga Source wouldn't be here.
We choose all of our teachers, workshops, and trainings very carefully. It’s important that we bring you the best care and attention possible so that you can continue to do your life’s work with clarity and peace of mind.
