Sarah Kirby

Sarah began her yoga journey in college as a runner seeking to balance her workouts with regular stretching exercises. Over the years, her practice evolved, and she found refuge in both the physical movement of yoga, as well as the grounding practice of mindfulness, which remains an anchor for her through the many ups and downs of life. As a classroom teacher by profession, Sarah felt drawn to share yoga with others, and she completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2016 at Mind the Mat in Alexandria, VA. She later went on to complete trainings in Self-Awakening Yoga, Foam Rolling Therapeutics, and Children's Yoga. Sarah's teaching style offers unique sequences that combine traditional yoga postures with various intuitive movement explorations, inviting students to connect to the rhythm of their breath and allow the body's natural wisdom to guide the way, both on and off the mat. Outside of the studio, Sarah enjoys reading, gardening, hiking, biking, and camping.
