Tia Platte, eRYT 500, YACEP

Tia Platte, eRYT500/YACEP & Owner/Director of Yoga Source, stumbled upon her very first yoga class in high school and has continued her studies of yoga philosophy & psychology for twenty+ years.  After graduating from VCU, she pursued her studies of yoga through 200hr & 500hr teacher training programs starting in 1999 at Omega Institute (NY), Piedmont Yoga Studio (CA) in 2000, Yoga Mendocino (CA) in 2001 and Yogaworks (RVA) in 2008-10. In 2013, she completed the Yogaworks Barworks® Certification and began teaching Yoga Barre technique in 2014. She has been very blessed to study under many well known yogis that have greatly influenced her to this day.

 

Her dynamic teaching style is fluid yet alignment-based and filled with a little sweat and a lot of soul. Passionate about teaching intelligent & mindful movement with clarity and compassion, her approach fosters self-inquiry, curiosity, and a sense of playfulness! Tia is a life-long student of this ancient practice and continues to share her knowledge, love and enthusiasm with all those who seek to know the true essence of the Self.

 

Her teaching repertoire includes Core Flow®, Deep Release®, Vinyasa Flow, Chair yoga and Yoga Barre. Registered with the National Yoga Alliance since 2000, Tia holds an E-RYT 500 (experienced registered yoga teacher) and YACEP (continuing education provider) with the National Yoga AllianceIn January 2018, Tia Platte became sole owner of Yoga Source and she strives to continuously fulfill the Yoga Source mission of providing the community with a steady resource of inspiration.
